Postdoctoral Researcher, Murdoch Children's Research Institute

Dr. Yuk Jing Loke has been a part of the Early Life Epigenetics group at the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and Department of Paediatrics, University of Melbourne since 2010. Since obtaining her PhD from the same group in 2014, she has been involved in many aspects of early life epigenetics studies, mainly focusing on 1) finding evidence for associations of early life environment on offspring epigenetics profile, and 2) the development of epigenetic biomarkers in child neurodevelopment. Under the leadership of A/Prof Jeff Craig, she is also expanding her research in the epigenetic analysis of AQUA study looking at the effects of maternal alcohol intake on offspring, and collaborative projects on preterm birth. Lately, she has been learning some bioinformatics and biostatistics skills from renowned bioinformaticians in MCRI to analyze current and future genome-wide data. She has also presented her published works in various conferences at national and international level.
