Research from the Queensland University of Technology has shown that senior citizens are the most vulnerable to online fraud.
The study also looked into the victims themselves, who can become socially stigmatised, depressed or even suicidal.
Dr. Cassandra Cross, the researcher, has since made a submission to Federal Parliament concerning cyber-safety for seniors.
