Staff and family need to work together in aged care

Staff in facilities providing low-level care to elderly people need to develop better relationships with their patients’ families, according to a study done by La Trobe University. “Strengthening the relationships between staff and family will provide a continuum of care so residents do not need to relocate to a high level care facility when their needs increase,” says Professor Rhonda Nay who conducted the work.
