Stem cells used to treat traumatic brain injury

Stem cells taken from children’s bone marrow have been safely used to treat them for traumatic brain injury. The ten children in the Phase 1 clinical trial were treated within 48 hours on their injury. The stem cells used were harvested, processed and returned to the injured children intravenously.
