Text therapy helps ease isolation

A new therapy involving patients receiving text messages has been found to improve the mood of subjects. The program sent out an SMS to patients prompting them to consider and text back about their moods.

The study found that patients had a positive reaction to texts especially those who felt stressed out, isolated and alone.

The study highlights the importance of regular contact for people struggling with feelings of isolation.
