The end of the geek?

Put the image of the lonely geek trapped in his bedroom tapping away at the internet far from your mind. Using the web not only encourages us to engage with people far from home, but it also makes us better people.

A study from ANU shows 70% of regular internet users feel it’s important to help those worse off than themselves. And it makes us more politically engaged too - 25% of us have used the web to access information about candidates or political parties.
