Whooping cough vaccination safe and effective during pregnancy

The whooping cough (pertusis) vaccination is safe and effective when taken during pregnancy, according to a new British study.

Investigating the risk of serious adverse effects with the vaccination on 20,000 women, researchers found it had 91% effectiveness in preventing pertussis in infants.
