Ann Fudge Schormans (Ph.D.) is an Associate Professor in the School of Social Work at McMaster University. Drawing on critical disability studies and employing inclusive, co-researcher methodologies and knowledge co-production, along with arts-informed methods, recent research projects attend to the use of city space by people with intellectual disabilities; the intersection of intellectual disability and homelessness; and parenting experiences and aspirations of people with intellectual disabilities. Current projects include masculinity and intellectual disability, as well as a project with disabled co-researchers who are survivors of large-scale institutions that is develop curriculum materials to teach students about institutionalization.
