Associate Professor, Public Health, Concordia University of Edmonton

Dr. Cecilia Bukutu is an Associate Professor and the Director of the Department of Public Health in the Faculty of Science at Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE). She is also an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Alberta (UAlberta). At CUE Dr. Bukutu is a member of the research cluster: Scholars Countering Intersectional Racism and Oppression, and she leads the Speak Science Simply Program (SSSP) that provides individuals involved in science and research with the skills and confidence to communicate effectively with the general public. Dr. Bukutu's educational background, research and experience is in environmental public health and epidemiology. She is passionate about public health and health equity and believes everyone has an important role in promoting public health for betterment of our communities.
