Professor of Marketing, Royal Holloway University of London

I've been Professor of Marketing at Royal Holloway University of London since 2004. My PhD was from Strathclyde University Department of Marketing. I also holds qualifications in psychology, education and business studies. My teaching and research focus mainly on issues connected to advertising and marketing, although the scope of my published writing has been broader, including matters of media ethics and regulation on UK TV (especially product placement), alcohol policy, education policy, qualitative research methods, and consumer culture.

Upcoming publications include a book on the role of business studies and business schools in higher education, to be published by Edward Elgar in August 2024, and the 3rd Edition of my qualitative methods text, to be published by Routledge in 2025.
