Brunel Research Jamboree

Venue: Bishops Green Marquee, Brunel University London. Opposite the Sport Centre/Gym.


Join us for the first ever Brunel Research Jamboree! This day will give you the opportunity to tell us what you think and learn more about Brunel research.


There will be a variety of activities for all ages, 0-100+


  • River Invasion board game
  • Research treasure trail around the Brunel campus
  • Ludo Flamenco guitar performance
  • Happy to Chat
  • Cells & Chromosomes, Genes & Genomes: get stuck in to create the artwork
  • Judge the Research In Action picture competition
  • And more…


There will be NO:

  • Lectures
  • Talks
  • Panel Discussions
  • Or anything else that requires you to sit still and listen


Some activities may be messy (paint!). Some may involve walking around the Brunel campus. All are optional. The day will be based in the marquee on Bishops Green, opposite the Sport Centre, and elsewhere on campus.


Pop in for an hour or two, or stay all day - it's up to you!


An e-permit for parking is available on request; details will be in your confirmation email.

This event is part of the Brunel Research Festival, which returns this May for a packed programme of online and in-person activities, celebrating how Brunel's research is changing society for the better. Free and open to all.

No, there will not be an online option for this event, due to its interactive nature.

Is there a Quiet Room I can use?

Yes, there is a dedicated Quiet Room on campus and often nearby rooms that are available. Feel free to contact us at researchengagement@brunel.ac.uk

Is this event suitable for children?

YES! Children are encouraged to attend, accompanied by a responsible adult.

How do I get to the venue?

Will there be filming or photography at the event?

Filming and/or photography will be taking place and clear signage will be displayed across the site. Footage and images are used to further the reach of our events. Those not wishing to be included in any footage should notify staff at the event.

Is there accessible parking nearby?

The nearest Blue Badge carparking is within 200 metres of the entrance. All parking during working hours requires an e-permit. Please contact us to request and for further information: researchengagement@brunel.ac.uk

Is catering provided?

Light refreshments are provided (e.g. tea, coffee, soft drinks). There are catering and retail outlets on campus, where you can purchase food, according to your preference.

Are there baby change or breastfeeding facilities?

There are no dedicated baby change facilities; every building has accessible toilets, which you may find suitable. Breastfeeding is welcome in all public areas on campus. Should you need a private space for breastfeeding, there are dedicated facilities available. Please contact us for further info.
