Miren Gutiérrez

Miren Gutierrez is a Research Associate, with the Global Risks and Resilience team at the ODI. Miren's interests are in data activism, or how data infrastructure can be utilised for social change in development, justice, and environmental issues. She holds a PhD in Communication Sciences and is a researcher at the University of Deusto, too. Miren has been the Executive Director of Greenpeace Spain, Inter Press Service editor-in-chief, and a journalist based in Hong Kong, Panama, New York, and Rome, writing and researching for El Mundo, El País, The Nation, Wall Street Journal, UPI and Transparency International.
