I graduated from Edge Hill University in 2013 with a degree in Law (LL.B Hons) and completed an LL.M by Research in 2016. In 2020, I completed a Ph.D examining the criminal law framework in England and Wales and its application to online abuse. I have extensive expertise in educating young people on the criminal consequences of irresponsible social media usage. I am available for consultations, educational presentations and interviews on a range of aspects related to the misuse of social media, including, though not limited to:

In addition, alongside other colleagues at Edge Hill University, I have worked with Cheshire Police to help create a teaching scheme for young people on the dangers of legal highs. I am also a member of the Socio-Legal Studies Association and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
In 2023, I will be organising an SLS funded one-day conference exploring Contemporary Social and Legal Issues in a Social Media Age.
I am also currently a trustee for Citizens Advice Wigan and sit on the Ethics Committee for Keele University.
