Anna Barford

Principal Research Associate, University of Cambridge

Anna researches the following areas: Work and employment, Youth employment, Climate change, Circular economy, Care economy, Austerity, and Artificial Intelligence. An experienced university researcher, she is interested in how research can inform policy and practice. Anna engages national and international policy makers, NGOs, and business; and also worked as a Technical Specialist at the International Labour Organization.

She holds a PhD in Geography from the University of Sheffield, entitled 'An international comparative study of attitudes towards socio-economic inequality,' supervised by Danny Dorling and Peter Jackson (2007-2010). This was funded by an ESRC studentship. Her MA is in Research Methods and Sociology is from the University of Nottingham, funded by the university (2004-2005). Anna's BA is in Geography from the University of Cambridge (2001-2004).
