3D printer makes transplant jaw

A 3D printer has been used by scientists at Hasselt University in Belgium to create a platinum jaw transplant in the Netherlands.

The printer used a laser beam to cross-section titanium powder into the complex design.

The scientists believe the 3D printer could also print useable body organs.
