Autism changes the brain

Autism marks the brain at a molecular level, resulting in a dramatically different structure than a healthy brain, a new study from the University of California, Los Angeles, has found.

Autism was previously thought to leave no physical trace as it develops in the brain. The study may help point to a common cause for the multifaceted disease.
