Bacteria influences the brain

The “cross-talk” between bacteria in our gut and our brain plays an important role in the development of psychiatric illness, intestinal diseases and possibly other health problems, according to a study from McMaster University in Canada. The researchers found that gut bacteria influences anxious behavior through alterations in the way the brain is wired.
