Boosting students’ self esteem

Teachers who avoid criticising their students and provide only positive reinforcement for students are failing their pupils, according to Professor Stephen Dinham of the University of Melbourne. He told a forum that giving students a false sense of self-esteem will not serve them well when the enter the real world of work.
