Coffee health benefits dose dependent

Researchers at the University of Western Australia have studied a compound found in coffee, chlorogenic acid (CGA), which can help to lower the risk of type-2 diabetes.

The researchers looked at both caffeinated and decaffeinated brews and found that coffee’s health benefits are dose dependent.

The equivalent dosage of five to six cups of coffee per day caused abnormal fat retention within the cells and liver function of lab mice.
