‘Dismal picture’ for female executives in California

Women fill fewer than 10% of top executive roles in California’s 400 largest companies.

Researchers in the US found almost half of those companies had no female directors and around 30% had one.

On average, there is only one woman for every nine men among directors and highest-paid executives, and only 13 of 400 companies had female CEOs.
