Dummies don’t interfere with breastfeeding

Allowing a baby with established breastfeeding patterns to use a pacifier should not interfere with breastfeeding, according to a review published in The Cochrane Library. Pooling data from the two studies, the authors found that permission to use pacifiers made no significant difference in the proportion of babies who were still exclusively or partially breastfeeding at three months and at four months.
