“Type 2 immunity”, which battles environmental challenges, is in some cases prone to going into “hyperdrive” when it comes into contact with irritants such as pollen.
Researchers maintain that “Type 2 immunity” is beneficial to the body, concluding that it evolved over time to protect the body from parasites, noxious chemicals and animal venoms.
