Health concerns for asylum seekers

Community-based asylum seekers have limited access to primary health care in Australia, according to new research published in the Medical Journal of Australia. Asylum seekers’ access to primary health care is limited by a range of barriers, including Medicare ineligibility, health care costs and the effects of social, financial and psychological stress.
