Hidden in plain sight: the first visible-range invisibility cloak

The development of the first visible-range “invisibility cloak” has made it possible to hide objects from human visibility.

The cloaking material re-routes electromagnetic waves around an object, removing the appearance of bumps or bulges under the cloak. By doing so, the cloaked object then becomes undetectable to humans.
