Universidad Loyola Andalucía

La Universidad Loyola, promovida por la Compañía de Jesús, es la undécima del sistema universitario andaluz y la primera privada de la comunidad autónoma. Reconocida por el Parlamento Andaluz, el 23 de noviembre de 2010, el curso 2020/2021 es el octavo de la Universidad Loyola, que comenzó su primer curso en el 2012/2013. Cuenta ya con cuatro promociones de egresados y un volumen actual de unos 4.700 estudiantes en sus tres Campus en Córdoba, Sevilla y Granada.

La Universidad Loyola tiene en su horizonte último convertirse en una “Doctoral Research University” - según la definición de The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching - en el campo de las ciencias sociales y la tecnología. Loyola quiere ser una Universidad reconocida no solo por la calidad de la formación, sino por la amplitud, relevancia, significación e impacto de la investigación en los ámbitos en los que centra su actividad: investigación básica, aplicada, disciplinar e interdisciplinar.

Asimismo, la Universidad Loyola, como entidad entre cuyos objetivos está la generación y difusión del conocimiento, está llamada a desempeñar un papel fundamental en el logro de los 17 Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible que componen la Agenda 2030. Con la investigación, el desarrollo, la innovación y la transferencia de conocimientos, la Universidad Loyola pretende colaborar en la creación de un mundo humano, justo y respetuoso.

La Universidad Loyola ofrece la posibilidad de estudiar en sus campus más de 60 itinerarios diferentes de grado, simples, dobles y plus (que combinan un grado oficial con un título propio), en las áreas de Administración y Dirección de Empresas (ADE), Economía, Comunicación, Criminología, Derecho, Educación, Ingeniería, Psicología y Relaciones Internacionales.

Asimismo, cuenta con una amplia oferta formativa de máster -dobles, simples, y plus (que combinan un máster oficial con un título de experto), así como 2 diplomas de especialización y un curso de experto; 4 programas de doctorado y formación executive. La Universidad Loyola es, además, Centro Examinador Oficial de los Exámenes de la Universidad de Cambridge, así como de los exámenes de lengua española SIELE.

Universidad Loyola, promoted by the Society of Jesus and aligned with its 450 years long educational tradition, combines an international character with the latest technologies in order to respond to the needs of the 21st century through a generation of students whose aim is to better themselves and their future professions. Loyola is the eleventh in the Andalusian university system and the first private university in the autonomous community. 2020/2021 is the eighth academic year at Universidad Loyola. The university already has three promotions of graduates and a current volume of about 4,700 students at its three campuses in Córdoba, Seville and Granada.

One of the long-standing aims of Universidad Loyola is to become a Doctoral Research University - in accordance with the definition of the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching - in social sciences and technology. Loyola wants to be a University that is not only recognised for the quality of its education, but also for the breadth, importance, significance and impact of its research on the areas where it focuses its activities: basic, applied, disciplinary and interdisciplinary research.

The many aims of Universidad Loyola include the creation and transmission of knowledge, and so one of our callings is to play a part in fulfilling the 17 Sustainable Development Goals that form part of the 2030 Agenda. Universidad Loyola’s commitment to create a humane, just and respectful world is expressed through its research, development, innovation and transfer of knowledge.

Universidad Loyola offers the possibility of studying on its campuses up to 58 different official degree itineraries, 16 simple and 15 double degree itineraries, as well as 27 degrees+ (which combine an official degree with a specialized certificate), in the areas of Business Administration and Management (ADE), Economics, Communications, Criminology, Law, Education, Engineering, Psychology and International Relations. One of its star programmes is the Dual Business degree in collaboration with Loyola University Chicago. Likewise, Loyola’s postgraduate training offer comprises up to 27 master’s degree itineraries - double, simple, and plus (combining an official master’s degree with an expert certificate) -, as well as 2 specialization diplomas and an expert course; 4 doctoral programs and executive training.
