No lack of crime against Chinese businesses

More than one-quarter of Chinese businesses have been the target of crime in the past year, representing an estimated annual loss of between US$4.9 billion – 5.6 billion for the four cities surveyed.

The Australian National University study found the rate of non-conventional crime – like fraud, bribery and intellectual property crime – was more than three times higher than common crime, like robbery, assault and theft.
