Anna has edited, and written an introduction for, the French translation of the autobiography of Dmitri Vitkovsky, a Gulag survivor whose story was adumbrated by Solzhenitsyn (published in September 2012). Much of Anna’s work has been as an editor of the Garnett Press, advising on questions of translation and editing Russian-language texts.

Anna’s main research project recently has been An Anthology of Russian Folk and Anonymous Poetry, which presents for the first time an exhaustive selection of every genre of this major aspect of Russian culture, in the original with an English prose translation at the bottom of each page, and with a substantial introduction.
