Dr Ian C Elliott is a senior lecturer and programme leader of the postgraduate certificate in public services governance at Queen Margaret University

His research interests lie in the organisation and management of services and in particular the wider social role of business, the relationship between employment and wellbeing, and the nature of working lives. Ian has a particular interest in the organisation and management of public services.

Prior to joining Queen Margaret University Ian worked at as a full time researcher at the Employment Research Institute. Ian also has experience at the Scottish Government, University of Edinburgh and Glasgow Caledonian University. He completed his doctorate on the funding of sports services from the Division of Public Policy at Glasgow Caledonian University in 2007.

Ian has worked on a wide range of research projects and has been invited to present research findings to the Scottish Government Response to Dame Carol Black Report Work-stream on Business Engagement and the Heath and Work Project Board
