Maria Gloria Polimeno is PhD Candidate in Middle East Politics at the University of Exeter. Since 2019 she is Teaching Fellow in Exeter. While being affiliated to Exeter, she joined the Department of Politics and International Studies at SOAS in the a.y. 2017-2018 having awarded a Teaching Fellowship. In 2016-2917 she was appointed Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Politics at Birkbeck College University of London where she taught Middle East Politics and Global Conflicts, Security and Humanitarianism at postgraduate level. Among the several research positions, she held a Visiting Fellowship at the University of Turin in 2018. She was appointed Academic visitor and Visiting Scholar at the London Middle East Institute, SOAS from September 2012 to April 2013 and from January to March 2017 respectively. Between September 2013 and April 2014 she was appointed Research Fellow at the Department of Politics at City, University of London.
She was invited as adjunct lecturer (focus on the Middle East and North Africa) by the Centre for Post-Conflict Studies Operations (Italian Ministry of Defence) in June 2018.
