Robots swarm in search of Martian life

University of Southampton researchers believe that using autonomous swarming robots could be the best way to explore Mars’s cave networks for traces of life. Traces of methane in the Martian atmosphere suggest undiscovered activity beyond the planet’s surface which, researchers believe, could be evidence of life.
