Speedy toads expand theory of evolution

Research into the breeding habits of cane toads might have revealed a necessary addition to the theory of evolution. The research found that toads that lead an invasion tended to breed more successfully than individuals that arrive later on in the migration. This finding challenges the idea that survival and reproduction are the only factors in evolutionary change.
