The “Average American” is getting poorer

The median household in America is becoming poorer because of the changing demographics of the nation.

Researchers from Cornell University examined past and current data from the U.S. Census Bureau, discovering the future “average American” is likely to be Black or Hispanic.

The report hopes findings will encourage action to improve the education of ethnic minorities in order to move into higher paying jobs.
