Women in female-dominated occupations earn more and have more chance of advancement than those in male-dominated professions.
Researchers from the University of Warwick analysed statistics for each country on the proportion of men and women in each occupation and the overall average pay gap.
This is contrary to the traditional view that segregation of men’s and women’s occupations disadvantages women.

As always the original article confuses earning with wage rates. If you work longer hours you get paid more and get promoted more obviously. Most will remember the recent survey of graduates which was misinterpreted by the Government body responsible to the point where the authors of the survey had to go public. We know from ABS data for Australia that even when paid work and unpaid are added together men work longer hours than women.
