A breakthrough in the understanding of how bees process complex visual tasks may lead to the development of artificial vision for machines that would rival human vision.
Research by RMIT and the Université de Toulouse found that honeybees learn fundamental cognitive rules, showing that the possession of a large brain is not necessary to solve concurrent visual problems.
