Breakthrough in teleportation technology

Queensland physicists have achieved quantum teleportation by transmitting an atom to different locations within an electronic chip.

The process called “entanglement” transmits information between locations without requiring a physical carrier of information.

Researchers from the University of Queensland predict the technology will be used in secure data communication and increase the efficiency of information processing.
