Childhood cancer treatment less expensive than thought

Childhood cancer in developing countries can be cheaply treated, contradicting previous beliefs treatment is restrictively expensive.

48% of Malawi children given short treatments under US$50, such as supportive care drugs and chemotherapy, were cured of Burkitt lymphoma.

This could change the way cancers are treated and which treatments are prioritised in global health policy.
