People who consume large amounts of salt are twice as likely to have high blood pressure than those who consume the recommended levels, according to researchers from Deakin University and the Cancer Council Victoria. While various overseas studies have made links between salt intake and blood pressure, this is the first time an Australian study has demonstrated the association.
