Lasers provide clue to Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease

Researchers have discovered how to distinguish aggregations of the proteins believed to cause such diseases such as Mad Cow, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.

Using a multi-photon laser technique, the researchers were able to identify the aggregations of these structures by using laser light.

The research may pave the way for treatments which detect and remove the masses of proteins.
