Mango skin to fight flab

The skins of two common mango varieties contain natural compounds that may help to fight flab.

The study found that the peel from Irwin and Nam Doc Mai mangoes contained high concentrations of biological substances that inhibit development of human fat cells.

The results of the study could assist growers to develop mango varieties that actively help reduce obesity.
