Men and women psychologically similar

The sexes are more psychologically similar than previously thought.

Researchers from the US analysed 122 different characteristics — including empathy, sexuality, scientific inclination and extroversion — from 13,301 individuals. The results found most men and women did not significantly differ.

This suggests sex is not as confining a category as traditional stereotypes and some studies would have us believe.
