New research helps crack the code on deadly bacteria

New research has successfully mapped the structure of the membrane protein known as BamA, which is found in bacteria highly resistant to antibiotics.

The research team at Monash University used super-resolution microscopy to study the individual bacteria cells.

BamA is found in bacteria which causes gonorrhoea and chanchriod.
