Organic labels not always effective

Consumers do not always get a positive impression from organic food labels, a study has found.

In a survey of 215 students, most thought organic food to be a healthier choice than conventional options. However fewer expected it to be as tasty, especially those with low concern for the environment.

    I hate to be a pedant, but as a chemist it is my understanding that all food, irrespective of how it is produced, is largely organic. The appropriation of the term for purely marketing purposes grates, but I guess English is a living language.
