Research Scientist, Colorado State University

Aaron joined the Colorado State University Department of Atmospheric Science program in summer of 2019 as a Postdoctoral Fellow. He earned his M.S. in 2014 and Ph.D. in 2019 from the Department of Geosciences at Texas Tech University after previously receiving a B.S. in Meteorology from the University of Washington in 2012. After a two-year postdoctoral stint, Aaron continued at Colorado State University as a Research Scientist. His research revolves around improving predictions of severe storms and their attendant hazards, including applying machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques, and he currently serves as an associate editor for the American Meteorological Society's Monthly Weather Review and Artificial Intelligence for the Earth Systems journals.
