I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Theology and Religious Studies at Lund University in Sweden. I completed my PhD in Philosophy of Religion with the Committee on the Study of Religion at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. My primary expertise is in Modern European philosophical and religious thought, especially Kierkegaard. However, I am also more broadly interested in ethics, contemporary politics, social theory, conceptions of the self, theories and methods in the study of religion, and the history of Christian theology.
I currently serve as a researcher on two research projects housed at Lund. For the first, titled Beyond Truth and Lies, I examine the intersection between conspiracy theories (such as QAnon) and the American right-wing political landscape through the lens of performance theory and theories of myth and ritual. For the second, titled At the End of the World, I investigate the apocalyptic dimensions of nationalist and right-wing political movements in the United States.
