Aasha Sriram is a Master of International Relations student at the University of Melbourne, specialising in Public Policy and Development. She holds a Post Graduate Diploma and Bachelors in Journalism from the Asian College of Journalism in India. With over two years of experience as a journalist in India, Aasha has contributed articles to national newspapers and publications such as The Indian Express. She has assisted in research analysing the sex worker community in India and public policy surrounding sex work in conjunction with the South India AIDS Action Program (SIAAP). She currently works as a research assistant on a project examining food insecurity among university students in Australia undertaken at the Melbourne Social Equity Institute at the university.
