Lecturer/Researcher, University of Jos

Dr Adams Chaskda obtained a BSc in Zoology from the University of Jos, Nigeria and an MSc in Conservation Biology from the A.P. Leventis Ornithological Research Institute (APLORI), the University of Jos. He later obtained a PhD in Conservation Biology focusing on the breeding ecology of the Bar-throated Apalis from the Percy FitzPatrick Institute of African Ornithology, DST/NRF Centre of Excellence, University of Cape Town, South Africa.

Since obtaining his PhD, Adams has worked as a Lecturer/Researcher with the Department of Zoology, University of Jos teaching courses in ecology, conservation biology and research methodology and assisting with several administrative duties. He is currently the Acting Director of APLORI.

Adams' research interests are in behavioural ecology, anthropogenic effects on ecosystems and ecosystem health in these areas he has published and supervised several undergraduates, MSc and PhD theses.
