Adrian is completing his PhD at the University of Sydney. His research has focused on the ecology of the parrot community with Sydney. Specifically, he has investigated the abundance, distribution and habitat usage of the parrots within Sydney, the effect of bushfire and drought on fluctuations in the parrots abundance, competition for tree hollows and the availability and distribution of nectar among several urban and non-urban habitats (including street trees).
