Research Fellow, Heriot-Watt University

Aimaro Sanna did his PhD in Environmental Engineering at the University of Nottingham, working on catalytic processes towards the conversion of biomass in bio-fuels and bio-chemicals.

Since July 2012, he is working on carbon capture and storage technologies at the School of Engineering & Physical Sciences at Heriot-Watt University.

His scientific interests include biomass conversion into bio-fuels and bio-chemicals by thermo-chemical processes, heterogeneous catalysis, hydro-treating technologies, aqueous phase processing, carbon capture and storage by mineral carbonation and novel materials from CO2 sequestration.
