Dr Ajit Singh is an environmental scientist (PDRA) with particular interest in air pollution measurements and atmospheric visibility and meteorology. Currently, he is working on ASAP East Africa project (www.asap-eastafrica.com), which aims to conduct a quantitative study of urbanisation trends and their impact on air quality, while generating a holistic evidence base on the causes, consequences and levels of air pollution. The project also identifies social, environmental, policy and management measures to tackle air pollution, through a series of field observations, laboratory experiments, combining online measurements with state-of-the-science offline analyses.
