Senior Lecturer in French, University of Strathclyde

Alan Morris , MA (St Andrews, 1978), Ph.D. (St Andrews, 1985), is Senior Lecturer in French. He has published widely on the Occupation and its legacy, the œuvre of Patrick Modiano and, more recently, the French polar. He is the author of Collaboration and Resistance Reviewed: Writers and the Mode Rétro in Post-Gaullist France (Berg, 1992) and two separate monographs on the work of Patrick Modiano (Berg, 1996 and Rodopi, 2000). He is also the co-editor of Words & Things: Essays in Memory of Keith Foley (University of Glasgow French and German Publications, 2009).
